Take on something exciting and challenging! Join us for a training course, on white water kayaking.

We would be conducting "Level 01 Kayaker" courses on the following fixed dates:

1) Oct 28th - Nov 03rd 2007
2) Nov 04th - Nov 10th 2007
3) Nov 11th - Nov 17th 2007

Registration to the courses is open on first come first serve basis. Maximum capacity is 10 participants per course.

Swimming capability is not a must, though it is preferred.

The course is 07 days long, and costs Rs. 15,000/- per person

There is only one way to learn white water kayaking. That is by getting wet! Our courses are carefully structured and organized to give a short theory session in the morning, and remaining day is spent on the river. In the evenings around the bonfire, there is debrief sessions in which we discuss the day, the follies we did and we plan the next day's activities.

The Level 01 course gives 05 days of training on the river, with detailed theory and practical of the techniques and the river dynamics. The first 03 days is based on safer but moving waters, and the last 02 days we do real river runs in the open river with rapids up to class II+ to class III.

At the end of the course we present the participant with a certificate.

Participants who have finished their Level 02 course with us, get included into our white water kayaking club. The club members can visit us any time, stay with us, hire kayaks from us and join any of the trips that are currently running.

You stay at our modest base which is a simple & homely with few rooms, kitchen, dining room, toilets and an open terrace. The river is a five minute walk away. There is ample space on the open terrace, where we setup tents with mattresses and sleeping bags. Dormitory style sleeping arrangement is available in rooms as well.

Delicious and nutritious food is cooked/served in hygienic manner. There would be times when the lunch would be outdoors besides the river. Evenings would be spent around bonfires with our kayaking guides and river rescue professionals, discussing the day, detailed debrief sessions and contemplating the next day.

We promise a ratio of at least 3 professional river guides per 05 participants. We have a team of passionate white water kayakers with wide variety of skills and certifications. The team is extremely experienced on almost all white water rivers in India and Nepal.

Our team certifications include the following:

White Water Rescue Technician (WRT1) from Rescue 3 International, USA
First Aid & CPR from Medic First Aid International, USA
Wilderness First Responder (WFR), from NOLS, USA

Our course is conducted from our base at Shivpuri, which is a small place about 14 kms from Rishikesh. Nearest metro town is Delhi.

We recommend the participants to travel from Delhi to Haridwar by Dehradun Shatabdi Express on the start date of the course they have registered for. We would provide a transfer from railway station to our base. On the last day of their course, we would transfer the participants to Haridwar to board the Shatabdi Express (1800 Hrs) to travel back to Delhi. Arrival in Delhi is expected around 2245 Hrs.

You can alternatively reach Shivpuri on own, arriving latest by 3 PM on the start date of the course.
