Rafting Expeditions

What is multi-day rafting or rafting expedition?
Rafting expeditions are multi day rafting trips in which there are no fixed camps, all the gear and logistics needed for survival (like dome tents, kitchen, sleeping bags, personal belongings) are carried in cargo rafts along with other rafts.
The daytime is mainly dominated by rafting, and by evening everyone gets involved in pitching up the camp for the overnight stay, which is generally in an isolated beach on the banks of the river. Next morning the camp is folded up and we continue further in the river.
When is the best time to go white water rafting?
Every river has its own 'best season' for doing rafting.
How are rivers classified for difficulty?
The difficulty of a river is classified on a scale of I to VI with I being very easy and VI unrunnable. Normally rivers are classified on normal moderate water flows but during times of high water river, difficulty levels can be increased. We recommend a Class III river for beginning rafters and a Class IV river for experienced rafters looking for more action. Class V river trips are reserved for highly experienced /expert rafters.
What type of raft are used for expeditions?
In all our river trips we use self-bailing paddle white water rafts for maximum fun and excitement. Each of the 4-8 passengers has a paddle to help power and maneuver the raft while the guide steers and directs the crew. On high water trips or for passengers with special needs, an oar raft where the guide rows the boat, may be used.
Who can go white water rafting?
As per the law (that we adher to) age limit is minumum 14 years on all stretches except float trips (grade II and below), where it may be relaxed to 10 years. Generally, just about anyone in reasonable health and fitness can go rafting. There is no maximum age although anyone over 60 should be in good health and perhaps consult with your physician if you have any concerns. If you are pregnant, extremely overweight, or have back or heart problems, we do not suggest a raft trip.
Who kind of safely is provided in expeditions?
All our trips are accompanied by experienced rescue/safety kayakers for faster mobility in the rivers. Our river staff is internationally qualified for safety by Rescue 3 International, USA
Do I need to know swimming to do raftings?
Swimming skills are not required since your safety jacket will keep you afloat but it is recommended that you not have a fear of the water.
What all is provided / what do I need to bring?
Once you register for the trip we will send you a checklist of what all you need to bring . Basically we will provide you with tents, sleeping bags and sleeping mat, and all necessary rafting gear.
Are group rates available for company groups, clubs?
A river trip is the perfect activity for a group and we offer discounts to groups starting at only six people.
