Experience rafting on one of India's most untamed river. This is hard core rafting experience of a life time.

In the wilderness of Tons valley, this expedition starts from Miagad and finishes at Minus.

This expedition is undoubtedly not for first timers. People with good exposure to rafting, are only advised to take up this trip.

Tons river is virtually divided into "Upper", "Middle" and "Lower" sections. Since the "Upper Tons" section is unrunnable for Rafts, "Middle" & "Lower" Sections are covered in full version of this expedition. One can also opt for trancated version of this expedition, "Middle Tons"(5 days) & "Lower Tons"(5 days) separately.

Detailed Trip Schedule

Day 01
Arrival at Dehradune railway station. Drive 7 hrs to reach our base camp at Tons valley.

Day 02
Get introduced to Tons river with a practice run from Gyonhatti (Mori) to Khunigad. Overnight at camp.

Day 03 / 04 / 05
Begin rafting expedition from Gyonhatti (Mori) and cover a section of 60 kms in the next 3 days to reach Tiuni. Tiuni is situated at the confluence Tons with Pabbar river. This is a grade IV / IV+ section of the river.

Day 06 / 07
Raft from Tiuni till Attal. Negotiate class III / IV rapids today. Tiuni onwards Tons takes on more volume with the Pabbar river merging in. After the thrill of the top and middle section of the river expedition we now move into a beautiful gorge. Paddle through some of the country’s best white water during the day. Attal to Minus (major surprise rapid). Rapids class IV. We finish our expedition at Minus and head back to Dehradune by road.

This expedition can be truncated into "Middle Tons" and "Lower Tons" Expeditions. 5 day separately.
